The Ultra-Light electric also has a headphone jack, which is a great feature for musicians who want to practice without disturbing others. With the headphone jack, you can practice as much as you want without worrying about bothering anyone.

Sound

In addition to its portability and quiet playability, the Ultra-Light travel electric guitar also boasts excellent sound quality. The Traveler guitar may be small, but it boasts a clear and powerful sound that can match that of a full-sized guitar, thanks to its custom-designed dual-rail humbucker pickups. Plus, you can easily connect the Ultra-Light electric to your favorite amp, amplifier, or recording device via its standard 1/4-inch output.

Here are some Traveler UltraLight electric reviews &  testimonials:

All-round a go-sounding, feather-light instrument. And it looks cool.

I bought this for no real reason other than I thought it looked pretty cool. That said, I travel a lot, so why not buy one? definitely worth it! Only a few trade offs worth considering: there’s no volume or tone control locally, so you’re completely dependent on your amp in modifying.

I’ve yet to fly with it so my four stars are based purely on what I know to be beneficial: it’s feather-light, very compact and will definitely fit in overhead compartment on flights (if your airline lets you take on ofc). If you place it in hold, it will fit in most suitcases and you can pad the thing with towels etc pretty easily.

I genuinely expected it to be fairly awkward to handle, given that it doesn’t have any real body to rest your forearm on, though i’ve not found it to be an issue at all. There will always be more powerful guitars at around the same price, but it more than meets expectations for its intended purpose -something easy to carry around.

Perfect Complement for Traveling

I bought the left handed Ultra-Light Electric about a month ago and have already taken it on a few trips. It fits in my backpack (with the neck out of course) and fills a travel need I’ve been trying to find for quite a while. Thanks Traveler Guitar! (But more lefty options please!!!)

Tiny Tele

…Mine sounds like a Tele bridge humbucker. There is no neck pickup, and I love neck pickups, so I figured I can use some EQ on the way in to fatten up the tone with amp sims that are expecting something warmer than a twangy tele bridge. Read review…

Playing for 16 years and this is my favorite guitar

Where do I start? I’m not a beginner. I’ve been playing guitar and various other string instruments and piano for 16 years. I have been in bands, but I’m not a pro and my rent comes from other, non-musical skills. I love finding unique, eclectic instruments, or antiques with history and I tend to avoid expensive instruments, because they’re not going to make you a better player. I have 5 guitars right now, including a 5 string bass, 12 string, Les Paul Robot guitar, but have owned many others in my days. Read review…

Once all the strings are tuned, double-check the tuning by playing some chords and individual notes to ensure they sound correct.

Q. How to restring a traveler guitar?

A. Here are the general steps for restringing a traveler guitar:

  1. Loosen the old strings by turning the tuning pegs counterclockwise until the strings are slack enough to remove from the bridge and tuning pegs.
  2. Remove the old strings from the bridge and the tuning pegs.
  3. Insert the ball end of the new string into the bridge and pull the string all the way through the hole.
  4. Thread the other end of the string through the appropriate tuning peg hole, leaving enough slack to wind around the peg at least 2-3 times.
  5. Begin winding the string around the tuning peg, making sure to wind it under itself so that it stays in place.
  6. Tune the string to pitch using a tuner.
  7. Repeat steps 3-6 for each string, one at a time.
  8. Once all strings are attached and tuned to pitch, trim the excess string length using wire cutters or scissors.

Remember to stretch the strings a bit after they are installed and tuned to help them settle into place and maintain tuning stability.

Q. What’s the story behind the Traveler guitars?

A. The Traveler guitar brand was established by Leon Cox in 1992 in Redlands, California. He produced over three hundred guitars from his garage over the next three years.
