The Ovation Celebrity Deluxe Acoustic Electric Guitar features the same unique Quintad bracing pattern found on the more expensive Elite models. Ovation Celebrity Deluxe equipped with Ovation’s OP30 Preamp complete with 3-band EQ, Mid Shift, Pre-Shape and a built-in chromatic tuner works with an Ovation Slimline pickup to deliver crystal clear, accurate tone when plugged in. The sound hole is multisoundhole style with 3 or 4 different types of wood surrounding it. Preshape raises the treble and bass – it really brightens up the sound. The Ovation Celebrity Deluxe features a mid-depth bowl and a gorgeous 5-piece hardwood epaulet. Bound rosewood fretboard with dot and diamond inlays, gold tuners, and a walnut bridge accent the guitar’s eye-catching appearance. A slim ‘U’ shaped Nato neck make the Ovation Celebrity Deluxe one of the easiest-playing guitars in the business.

• there are no flaws on this guitar;
• no frets buzz, no static in the pre-amp.

Cons

• some owners complained that unplugged, the sound isn’t too good;
• the neck on this thing came loose;
• the master volume doesn’t have a middle detent;
• some owners complained that the electronics failed after a couple of months;
• a few reported the laminate separated from the wood over time.

Suggestions

• a set of Di Addario strings really brought the sound up front;
• run the guitar into Digitech RP100 for an Hi-Fi sound.
