Gibson SG Special Guitar Review :: Electric Guitars Reviews
the best combination of features and value in the SG line.

Since the first version of the SG Special in 1961, the Special has been screaming since and it has represented the combination of looks, functionality and value that is the hallmark of the SG series. 1961 was the year that Gibson changed the Les Paul Custom body style into a sharply pointed double-cutaway. This radical new design featured a thinner, bolder shape and was given the name SG for solid guitar.
The Gibson SG Special Guitar has a body made from multipiece mahogany with a one-piece SG -style neck and the classic horns. Features of these musical instruments include a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, the power of dual humbucking pickups with 2 volume and 2 tone controls, 3-way pickup selector, a stopbar with tune-o-matic bridge and a choice of traditional or modernistic finishes. This Gibson SG Special guitar offers the best combination of features and value in the SG line.Includes Gibson deluxe gig bag.
