Gibson Les Paul Faded Double Cut Guitar Review :: Electric Guitars Reviews
the killer classic double cut with P90 edge and vibrant nitro finish + very good price

The popular Faded Series includes a single cutaway Les Paul Special HB, V-Factor Faded and SG Special Faded. Gibson USA adds the well-played look of its popular ‘worn’ finishes to a legendary LP design with the new Les Paul Faded Double Cutaway. Available in Worn Cherry and Worn Yellow nitrocellulose lacquer finishes, these new musical instruments have the aura of classic Les Paul Specials and Juniors from 1958-60. The new Les Paul Faded – Double Cutaway has a pair of single-coil P-90 pickups, like the original LP Special. The 2-pickup Les Paul Special was introduced in 1955 as an intermediate model, positioned between the low-cost Les Paul Junior and the LP. But you also get cool feel, wide-open vibrant tone, and a whole lot of guitar for very little cash. Originally available only in a single cutaway, the Special was changed in 1959 to a double cutaway model. Other features include a ’60s-style slim-taper mahogany neck and mahogany body which add to the resonance and great sustain, unbound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, nickel and chrome-plated hardware.
